Flooring products that are always removed after being after by a flood or water damage are laminate floors. The laminate floors that are made with any wood-based products will not dry out during the water mitigation and will be removed and replaced.

Other flooring products such as engineered hardwood floors, hardwood floors, ceramic tile, and vinyl sheet floors will most likely be removed if they are installed on top of plywood or OSB subfloors. Some of these products are not affected by water damage but in order to dry the subfloor properly, they need to be removed.
